Our Handmade Autumn Wedding

On October 27th my husband and I had our wedding celebration at the Pretty Penny in Nyack, New York.  Thanks to all of the help and support from our family and friends, our wedding day was truly special.

Although it took a lot of time and energy and a lot of help from my friends and family, I had a lot of fun making a lot of handmade things for our wedding.

We got apples from our local farm, Dr. Davies Farm.  I wrote everyone’s name’s on the apples and used them instead of place cards.

I made this hair piece with a hot glue gun, a hair clip and the cloth from my mother’s veil from when she got married.

I arranged this bouquet of flower’s and wrapped it with burlap to give it a more natural touch.

This was our lovely flower girl (by the way, she threw leaves instead of flowers 😉

I made burlap runners for each table and scattered gords around the center.

Pumpkins and apples were scattered throughout to give the place a real autumn feel.

This chocolate cake was our wedding cake made by my father-in-law.  It was the most delicious chocolate cake that I have ever had!
